Blueberry chia jam

Preparation time : 3 minutes

Cooking time: 10 minutes

Serving Size : 3-4 servings

Preparation:

Prepare all your ingredients and jar beforehand to save time.

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp chia seeds

  • 1 cup of fresh or frozen blueberries

  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or sweetener of choice (optional)

  • A few drops of pure vanilla extract

  • 1 tbsp of lemon juice


Steps:

  1. Add the blueberries to a pan with a splash of water until soft and squishable. Add the chia seeds, lemon juice, vanilla extract, and maple syrup to the blueberries.

  2. Allow it to simmer until combined and has a jelly-like texture (about 5 minutes).

  3. Allow it to cool and pour it in the jar. Once cooled to room temperature, close the jar and place it in the refrigerator.

Tips:

  • Feel free to add any additional ingredients.

  • You can make it a mixed berries version by adding raspberries, blackberries and strawberries

  • Add fruits like berries for antioxidants.

  • Feel free to add your sweetener of choice like maple and honey.
